MCQ : New audio icon and Zoom icon not displayed in answer options for existing questions

Description

Pre- Condition: Resource with MCQ template and existing layouts with audio and images should already be present

Steps:
1. Open https://staging.ntp.net.in
2. Login with valid content creator credentials
3. Click on Library
4. Search for the content/resource with mcq question
5. Check

Actual Result: New audio icon and Zoom icon is not present in answer options for old resource with mcq questions
Expected Result: New audio icon and Zoom icon should be present in answer options for old resource with mcq questions

Note: 1. New audio icon and Zoom icon is present in Question field for old resource with mcq questions
2. Republished the old content then the new audio icon and zoom icon is displayed

Verified in Staging for the existing questions and zoom icon is not available for both question and answer options. Hence closing the issue.

We are upgrading the plugins versions for any major UI changes or breaking functionality. For MCQ questions we have 2 different plugins

  1. Plugin for question title

  2. Plugin for MCQ options.

Here MCQ is plugin which is using another plugin to render question title. In this release only MCQ plugin version is updated, hence for old questions options will show only in old format.

But for question title, we have not updated the version number. Hence question title will show always in new format(after republish of the content without editing).

We intentionally not updated the question title plugin version update, because it will be very hard to main too many versions of the plugins.

Please suggest is question title showing always in newer format for all old & new question is fine or not.

Its expected behavior,

We upgraded version for org.ekstep.questionunit.mcq plugin(1.3) not for org.ekstep.questionunit(1.1) plugin.

So when you published old content with questions. org.ekstep.questionunit plugin has the same version so you can see the latest changes but not in org.ekstep.questionunit.mcq old version.

Hence only question component will update with new changes, not options in MCQ questions.
