Description

Context

Today all trackable collections are unlocked by default which allows creator to change things on the run and which users (consuming) are unaware. We wanted to address that so that

Creator can create courses (trackable collections) and keep it unlocked which will not affect the consumption but allows creator to add/edit delete contents from collection. However once the collection is locked then no further change will be allowed by the creator.

Scenarios

  1. Creator created the course and kept it unlocked and User consumed full/partial and then

    1. Creator added content (trackable or optional content)

    2. Creator edited the already consumed content

    3. Creator deleted the already consumed content

      1. later creator again added the same content

    4. Creator added/edited/deleted content which is not consumed yet

  2. Creator created the course and locked it before any consumption by any user

Acceptance criteria

  1. For scenario 2, user would not be affected in terms of consumption

  2. For scenario 1.a & 1.d, user has to be highlighted that “new content is added” on toc, content details, card & my learning and user has to take it if it is part of trackable content

    1. If it is optional then user can take if he wants but will not be counted for generating credentials

    2. If user uploads a previously deleted content then same logic applies as user has not consumed it

  3. For scenario 1.b & 1.d, user would not be affected as user has already consumed the content and it is prerogative of creator to know before changing at creation that this will not affect users who has already consumed it. User should be highlighted on toc, content details and card

  4. For scenario 1.c & 1.d, user can be highlighted that content is deleted that they consumed and not being considered for credentials in the toc and content details but not in my learning

    1. If it comes back then user would be unaffected as user has already taken it

    2. If it comes back with some changes then also user would be unaffected as user already took the un editable version and necessary messages to be show to creator before editing and then uploading

  5. User needs to be highlighted if the collection is unlocked/locked on toc and content details as for locked courses (collections) only the progress will be shown (not for unlocked collections)

  6. Messaging to be given to user in certificate issuing screen
